The project required a modest addition to provide the space for a new kitchen layout that connected with the outdoors. The new form replaced the awkward elements in the original design, and allowed for a relocated rear entrance and sidelights. New windows were added to bring in more light and provide as much view as possible to the backyard. Traditional detailing was used to blend the new addition into the existing building.
